Hi, I’m Julie Thompson (she/her), I’m a photographer, currently based in New York City, with emphasis on documentary projects, as well as an experienced production manager with experience spanning over fifteen years in the creative industry.

As a photographer, my clients include Athena Film Festival, The Brooklyn Eagle, Ceres Food Film Festival, Climate Film Festival, Columbia University Magazine, The New York Sign Museum, The OceanTech Summit NYC, Open House New York, Park West Gallery, Photoville, and WINGS Women of Discovery.

I grew up in a small rural town in western New England; I am a transnational adoptee from South Korea. At age 17, I moved to Georgia to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design and earned a BFA in fashion design and a minor in photography in 2006. I have lived and worked in New York City since 2008.
